I have now made 7 blocks. The top left block, I switched to black. I have 7 more to do and those will have a black background and then I will put them together with? I will dream on it lol

Top right are three mug rugs different sizes, I had to do those to get away from the flowers lol.

The first two are block patterns and the last is a scrap. The second block I elongated to get the length.

    Default Flower Quilt

I now have eight blocks lol. I am doing a mug rug here and there for a break. The latest rug is the fairy, second at the top.

The same petals were used in the Joseph's coat and look totally different with the white background. The petals look light and pastel in Joseph and they look jeweled tone in these with the dark background....so you see how a background can matter for the effect you want to get.

I finished all fourteen blocks. I used up all the extra petals and I feel good about that lol. I have no idea at the moment of how I am going to put them together.

I worked on the square background for the blocks last night and have that pattern ready. Now I need to work on the odd shaped piece in the row that has three blocks.

I have put the flower blocks away, to work on another time when I decide how to put them together. I am just not ready to work on them anymore lol. I know I will square up the blocks eventually but will use strips instead of just plain fabric, so the background will be just as colorful as the flowers and will have a crazy effect. I will use all the scraps I have accumulated so far.
