    Default Colors of Palolo Quilt

I haven't posted in ages but I've gotten lots of quilting done! Below is one of the projects I finished last year. It was a gift for my girlfriend who lives in Palolo Valley in Honolulu, hence the name of the quilt. I always stay with her when I visit and now my daughter and her boyfriend have moved there for a year or so while they work on a new online business. These are the colors of the valley. I went free-form on the backing pattern and ended up liking it so much that I followed the backing for the quilting pattern. I kept just cutting into the fabric and adding new sections to break it up. I had a few people tell me they like he back as well or more than the front. How fun!

Beautiful quilt, but I agree with some of the people who claim the back is gorgeous!

The colors and fabrics are gorgeous! Great design , both front and back. Reminds me of the lush colors of springtime in the sunshine after a rainstorm.
