    I love that quilt. You know that it was made for a cancer patient but the quilt itself doesn't shout that out. I had breast cancer more than 8 years ago. I got so that I hated the colour pink and wouldn't wear anything pink for years after. I especially wouldn't wear the pink ribbon symbol. In my mind, I got through it but I refuse to advertise it and especially don't want people sympathizing with me. There are so many people out there who are dealing with other diseases and chronic conditions they can't recover from. Your quilt can be admired for its beauty with only a special few knowing the symbolism behind it.
