What a beautiful comfort quilt!!! I love the idea of Bible passages!!! I'm sure she will love and cherish it being from a dear friend of hers. I love to make those quilts too for people who need so much hope in hurting times

Your quilt is so thoughtful. I am sure she will be comforted reading the verses you chose to write. If you would be so kind, would you please share the references to the verses as I, too, have a friend with cervical cancer and I would like to make a quilt for her. I was planning on writing verses on a narrow border around the quilt, but your method seems better.

We have a whole set of verses we pick and choose from, but off the top of my head, I don't remember all the ones I used in that particular quilt. I did, however list below all the verses that we normally choose from:

    Psalm 24:4-5 Ephesians 3:12 Psalm 27:1 2 Peter 1:2 John 3:16
    Psalm 91:11 Deuteronomy 6:5 John 16:33 1 Peter 1:3 Romans 8:28
    Psalm 29:11 Isaiah 40:29 1 Corinthians 2:9 Psalm 42:8 Psalm 3:3
    Romans 10:9 Jeremiah 29:11 2 Corinthians 5:1 Psalm 69:30 Psalm 42:11
    Philippians 1:6 Jeremiah 29:13 2 Corinthians 12:9 Psalm 96:1 Psalm 76:26
    Hebrews 11:6 Philippians 4:6 & 7 1 John 3:6 Psalm 118:14 Psalm 61:2
    Hebrews 11:1 Psalm 33:22 1 John 3:6a Colossians 3:16 Psalm 34:4
    2 Peter 3:9 Psalm 34:17 1 John 4:19 Psalm 56:3 Psalm 138:3
    Hebrews 4:16 Psalm 34:18 1 Peter 5:7 Romans 8:38-39 Psalm 86:7
    Deut. 7:19 Psalm 121:1-2 Psalm 91:4 Psalm 100:5 Psalm 100:3
    Psalm 139:5-6 Psalm 118:24 Psalm 139:16 Psalm 94:19 Isaiah 25:1
    Isaiah 40:31 Matthew 11:28 Luke 1:37 Luke 12:24-25 John 14:27
    Proverbs 14:12 John 14:6 Psalm 56:3 Proverbs 3:5&6 Proverbs 8:35
    2 Cor. 1:3-4 Psalm 46:10 Psalm 35:5 Psalm 23:1-2 Psalm 37:39

What a wonderful quilt. I thought you had found fabric with the verses. Writing them youself is so much more personal! What a wonderful quilt. Thanks also for the passages.

What a beautiful message, both the quotations and your love for your friend.
