Now that is a great idea....you might be really surprised how much you get in exchange for the "priceless treasure stash" LOL
i did this night before last...
she actually washed, dried and put away dinner dishes for 2 FQs i had cut out :D
we have decided to get her a small stash of her own for her birthday next month... nothing expensive, just a trip to walmart for cute practice fabrics.

for now she gets free access to my scrap bin (as long as her usual chores get done), and a box of FQs i cut from my stash, that she can earn with extra jobs :D
she decides the job and what its worth to her, and i decide.. i will never complain over 2 FQs for a clean kitchen :D

That is so great! I love to see the younger kids involved in sewing & quilting. She is really into it trying to sew up the pillow! She is so cute. All kids needs hobbies but so many of them just aren't interested. I hope she holds the interest & someday passes it on to her kids.

What a great idea. Sounds like that would be a much appreciated and enjoyed gift. You are helping to create very special memories for the both of you in sharing this activity together.

that is so cute, rather have her take your fabric and spending time sewing then being outside in the heat and getting in trouble. Keep up your good work.

She's a doll! Look at the look of concentration on her face when she is sewing. Maybe you'll have someone to go on fabric hunts with you!
