I sure wish you lived near me to help get me going on the Judy Niemeyer patterns. I have Fire Island Hostra
as well as several others and I just can't seem to get motivated to start them. But then, i have been in a huge
holding pattern for a long time now with really getting back to making quilts. I know the thing I am missing
the most is having a quilting buddy. Anyway, you have done a wonderful job and I appreciate you sharing your
WIP so the steps can be seen so clearly.

Don't be nervous about the curves, just go to YouTube and watch videos until you find a method that will work for you, and make a couple practice tries first using scraps. We have faith in you.

Very impressive! I've always admired Judy Niemeyer's quilts, but never tried one. Please post again when you finish.

I love it! I have been wanting to do one but have never done paper piecing before. Is it hard to do?

I learned to paper piece by reading Judy Niemeyer's pattern. She explained it so well I never felt like I needed a class. I started with one of her easier patterns, Indian Summer. I do not think paper piecing is too hard. It is more time consuming but worth the extra effort. I would encourage you to give it a try.

Both are lovely. Especially impressed with Fire Island so far - great fabrics.
