    Thanks, everyone! lynnie, the technique is the method described in the book which is copyrighted. Basically, you cut varied width strips and sew them into strata panels. Then you use a template ruler to cut the blocks. Each pattern in the book has some variance of the method and different sized blocks. It is explained very well.
