    Here's a diagram that might help. In the upper left I've outlined the two basic blocks. Two little 4-patches and two plain squares in each block. Just arranged differently to get the diagonal setting for the quilt.

    I knew that every four patch had to have more than one blue block... but just how it was done puzzled me... many thanks.

    That's a great one with the big block matching the 4 patch so that you only use 1 main color and scraps.
