I'm not sure what to put in the center. Maybe a pompom. There are 600 kinds of asters! Any ideas? This will be a wall hanging.

Hi there - How about some fancy yarn like eyelash or twistie, etc (this similar to a pompom as you already mentioned though)? A friend did a beautiful one much like this for a contest (I'd post it, but don't can't contact her until next week for permission). You could use beads, but they are time consuming, expensive, and heavy. Can't wait to hear what you end up doing. Cheers and good luck.

I like the idea of a pom pom with a specialty yarn - especially if you can find a color similar to that you have in the background on this picture.

If you wnt it to br funky cute then use a pom pom. If you want it to be more realistic then use chenille, around a button,or card board cut in the shape of a circle. Just an idea! Lets see afinished pic when your finished! BEE PROUD!

A yo-yo may add a bit of extra dimension, or maybe a 3d fabric flower in shades of yellow, to add a more complex centre. These are my current "addiction", so perhaps you shouldn't listen to me. Anyway, whatever you choose it will look beautiful...look forward to seeing it finished.
