converged orphan star block

converged orphan star block
I had two of these blocks (8.5"):

and didn't know what to do with them, so I decided to try the Ricky Tims convergence technique on them, mostly to see if you could still see the star after convergence. First cut looked like this:

Second cut ended like this:

As you can see I messed up the order of strips in the second star (should have had the fat strips of the star with the thin strips of the second fabric) but the effect is still kind of cool. And the star pattern is still visible, which is what I was trying to test.
So now what will I do with them? Suggestions?
Thanks for looking!

Put them aside for now. I gather you are adventurous in trying new patterns. Each time you try some new patterns you can put a block aside and when you have amassed enough blocks, sew all your "testers" together into a quilt. Now you'll have a record of your experimental works - those you used and those you did not, and a record of how you have accomplished your good works and the testing you had to go through to get to a favorable and satisfactory outcome. I love to see how people come to get a design to their liking. Keep it up.
