Default A couple of firsts for me...

    1) My first string quilt. Still need to square it up, sandwich and bind it. This finished at 22" - those pieces are only 1/2" wide !!! Thank goodness for paper piecing. Not sure I would want to spend that much effort on scraps again

    2)
My first La Passacaglia rosette. Not sure what colors I'm going for in my version. I can see that I need a bit more practice on aligning the fussy cut pentagons. This was just a practice rosette. It might make it into the final quilt. We'll see.

I am so grateful there are quilters like you who are willing and even determined to challenge themselves to make these beautiful examples for the rest of us to drool over and be inspired by. Your work is lovely!

Gorgeous string! What patience to work with all the !/3 inch strips! Your trial rosette is beautiful and I can not wait to
see what you end up doing!

What a spectacular string quilt, lmanna! So worth the effort. It will be a very special piece.
