yummy, love both, but love florals. I like that you added a solid, and it is very effective.
I agree, hang r,w and blue on point. great!

ok, maybe it only reads as a solid, but it works. :D

    nancy

it really does change the entire look of the quilt just by turning it.

i'm always amazed by how placement and orientation changes a look of a quilt.

some times i spend weeks turning blocks and taking pcs before i can decide how i wish to sew the blocks together.

i'm to the point that i don't finalize a quilt top until i take pics of it and dwell on it for a while.

sounds like a good idea, to take pics. i don't really have that option, but maybe, eventually. I take pics when done, anyway. We do a lot of pondering, just like the really great artists, don't we?

Great job on the quilts. I love the first one because I am a red, white, and blue person. I collect patriot fabric (having 2 sons in the Navy) But I love the second one with the gold running through it. I collect that type of fabric also. Lets face it I collect many different kinds of fabric. And it doesn't help now that i work in a quilt shop. :) You did a great job!!
