I really just followed the directions with the 5" twister directions that came with the tool, laying them out as I had sewn my squares together. The borders of it was do and undo until I got what I thought would look correct in the end. The whole thing was pretty much an experiment, as I had never done a machine sewn binding either; and I did this one from the tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wprg5...eature=related by icvday. It didn't turn out perfect; but practice will get me there hopefully. And I used the tutorial http://jonag.typepad.com/stop_starin...o-5-yards.html supposedly for fat quarters; but just used a much bigger piece of material and went from there to get my fairly easy process of making the binding. In the past I have mostly 'birthed' my quilts; and haven't done much binding, since I'm more of a piecer; and not a finisher!!!!! I just decided this time to jump in with both feet. Now I just have to hear that it didn't get lost in the mail!!!!!!

Very nice. I love the angled rows and the colors you used. It really looks like spring.
