That is so neat! And isn't it nice to have a GREAT-grandson? We have one great-grandson & one geat-granddaughter with another one on the way due in Oct. I just love sewing for them, especially the GGS as his Mom just loves anything home made.

I drew it up myself based on a picture I saw of a similar quilt. The cowboy blocks are 6.5 inches, the sheriff/marshall star blocks are 4.5 inches. Each unit of the horseshoe/bandana contains two 2.5 in. squares of horseshoes & 4 HSTs made by cutting two 2 7/8 in. sqs. of the bandana & horseshoes. Pin 1 of each right sides together, draw a diagonal line from corner to corner - stitch 1/4 in. from each side of this line then cut on line to form 2 HSTs, repeat with other pr. of sqs. I think I cut the inner border at 2 in. & the outer border at 4.5 in. Hope this helps.
