Most of my fabric I got for half price at LQS, so about $5/yd. Maybe I should do 9 or 10? I know a kit for them runs $12. This area has so much unemployment, but I'm thinking a lot of the items will sell to retirees who are buying for grandkids. I don't want to sell too cheap, but I also don't want to be greedy about it. I've basically been making things since I'm retired and love doing it...not really looking to make money, but also don't want to undercut other crafters. That's why I want to be very fair about the prices. Thanks for the advice. This is why I put things on the site...to get other opinions. I've never sold things before.

I had a craft sale last fall - I figured out that my pillowcases cost me about $ 18.00 each - I was shocked - they take 3/4 of a yard of fabric for the body and another 1/4 yard for the sleeve - so that is one yard per pillowcase - and a little bit for an accent piece - this is not counting any labor (we will never get that back). So I am just warning you that its surprising how much it really costs to produce those items. I am like you - I enjoy making things and don't care if I make much money - most of the time I give things away. Good luck.

Pillow cases take almost a yard of fabric. yes quick to make, but fabric averages $10.00/ yd.

Table runners, even the 10 minute one take 2 fabrics, almost a yd total. Again fast project.

Rag rugs are beautiful. Unless everyone is making them price higher, lots of labor in them.

    Good luck.

I do a lot of craft shows. It is always hasrd to know what will sell. If you price higher, you can always offer a 20% OFF THE LAST 2 HOURS OF SHOW.
