Your snowmen are just adorable and using the snowball block is perfect.

This is not a new technique. Back in the late 1920's the local paper printed "coloring pages" of fruit and veggies for quilt blocks. My Mom colored them and my GGma made two quilts. I still have the veggies one. The colors have held up for almost 90 years.
This is one of the things on my bucket list that might be moving up to the top soon.
