Oh my gosh- I haven't read all the posts yet but your quilts are fabulous. I need to try this. For a few years, I collected Crayola Crayon boxes. So have lots I can use.

I love your snowman quilt, it is so colorful and fun. Great layout too. Smart you to fix you boo boo with checked fabric throughout the quilt. Makes it look better too.

Beautiful. One question: do you need to pre-wash your background fabric..or is that optional? I have an "activity
pattern book" that my mother had when she taught the beginners class in Sunday School in the l930's I've been
wanting to use some of those, but wasn't sure how they would
come out. You've influenced me to give it a try.

I backed the inside front of appropriately sized white t-shirts and using a light box copied with black permanent marker some copy free art onto the shirts and let my Grandchildren color away to their hearts content. I did the hot iron heat setting for each of the shirts when they were done. This kept them busy and fairly quiet for 2-3 hours and they had fun. Crayola now makes their crayons thinner and housed in a mechanical pencil style holder. Much easier to work with. I too, just purchased some of the Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils and have found what I want to color for my first project using those watercolor pencils. Now, guess I need to order a copy of Jan's snowman book. That quilt is so cute.
