Actually, I was thinking that the table would be excellent for kits... figuring that a customer could invest in the pattern once, and then after that, just buy a kit of fabrics that would allow you to make one of these for every season or reason.

Had not though about bow tucks, though.

You cannot use fat quarters - you need the width of the fabric. The strips were from 8 - 1/4 yard of different fabrics (you need the full 9 inches) 1 1/2" wide - my instructions told me not to pre wash the fabric and to leave the selvage on. It wasn't hard to make - the binding was a bit challenging - but I got it done. I know others on the thread haven't bound theirs - but I prefer a more finished look. Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!

Can it be made from 8 - FQs?

Now that's an awesome thought, I love decorating for the holidays and when I ordered it I thought of doing one in Xmas fabrics....kits just the thing as it's the color combos that strike me. Being fairly new to quilting I have trouble putting together fabrics. I've been told it'll get easier ;)

Those are so beautiful! I have been admiring that pattern for a while ... how difficult/easy it is to make?
