    It's me again, do you buy the materials especially for the project? I do a lot of thrift store buys for satin, lace,velvet, etc. I also look for old embroidery work and cut off what I need. We did a Crazy Quilt Pillow and Pincushion at our church sewing class.

    Yes, and we exchange fabrics in our club. One of our members gets fabrics from a place that does drapery and we have some beautiful fabrics. I used some of them on my stocking.

    Just beautiful! I've only made one crazy quilt. I might make another one day but right now my passion is t-shirt quilts. :)

    Has any one ever painted their lace for their crazy quilt. On the heart is a piece that was painted. They sell the water color paints at quilt shows. Next time you are at a quilt show look for the demonstration.

    Hi Marian;

    What kind of paints do they use to make the lace color permanent? I have used fabric paints and they are permanent, but never on lace. Do the laces have to be 100% cotton? How would you get a delicate color? Many more questions. Think they will be in Paducah in April?
