I've seen little charm thingers that you can attach to the stem of a wine glass. A set of these and a set of coasters would be a great gift don't you think?

I've made several sets of these coasters. Recently I was out of warm and natural so I cut a square of old jeans, skipped the 5th square of fabric and it worked great.

I was given a pair of the coasters 3 yrs ago by a lady at quilt Guild who I had given fabric to. She made me some from that fabric. Since then I have probably made 15 pairs. They are so quick and easy. Make a bit smaller for stem ware . Wine glasses fit nicely too. I don't put batting in them and have never had a probolem !
Soo, happy I got this simple pattern. I have a pair for Hanakkuh in an envelope ready to mail today. Also, as gifts for Christmas.

I also cut them in 9 inch squares and put in a square of sweatshirt material in there and make pot holders with that same pattern.
