    Default Cross Stitch Pattern Quilt

I followed a cross stitch pattern for this quilt. Finished squares are 1 inch. It took 21 colors of fabric, which was fun to select. It turned out king sized. I don't care for yellow, so I substituted purples for them. The first half was completed enthusiastically, but I almost gave up a couple of times during the second half. I knew that if I started something else, it would be hard to return to it.
To add insult to injury, I ran out of background fabric to even out the two halves! I needed a 6 by 20 inch piece to complete. Not sure how to correct that before quilting.
Furthermore, I usually SID, but not this one!! Not sure how to proceed with the quilting as I only have a domestic Bernina.
But I am so happy that my vision worked! I love it, and that's what is important!

What an ambitious project, sorry about the shortage but it is a beauty.

Cool! I would do gently waving lines across the background like waves around the seashell.

I'd probably do straight line quilting. It is doable on a big quilt on a DMS (ask me how I know!) and it would give it a modern look as the pixelated design leans that way. Very ambitious...Nice!
