    Default Crown of Thorns

This was my first attempt at curved piecing. It was a Judy Niemeyer pattern and paper pieced. I entered in local quilt show and it received a vendor's choice ribbon. It was really a fun quilt to make after I finally got started.

This turned out fabulous. curves- No more fear! I have never seen a COT in one color like yours. It is quite stunning. The border treatment is also wonderful.

@ helou, Please never be afraid of doing a new pattern because you are a novice. If you assume things are difficult just by looking at them you will be stopped in your tracks. If you never try you will always be a novice. Curved piecing is a great way to enlarge everything you do in the quillting world.

Make a challange for yourself and find a simple pattern and just try something small like a table topper. I think you will soon warm up to curves!

Curves are really not that hard to do. NO FEAR! It's just fabric.
