Love your colors! These are so much fun and I really find that I have to "clear the work area" to the pieces are where they have to be. I love your use of the black and white background fabric ... makes the cubed pieces really stand out.
I have "color block"! I let it intimidate me and as as result nothing comes out right.
I'll have to look back at yours often!

Gorgeous does not begin to describe this beauty. You are an awesome quilter! Please post the next design when you get it completed. Can't wait to see the more complicated design. I am in awe of this design.

Those who think these are too difficult really should have a go - because they actually are quite easy - but the effect they give makes it look hard to do. The cubes are not difficult either, the 3D effect comes from the placing of light, medium and dark fabric. They are just hexagons like the other blocks.
There are so many things you can do with them, I find the hardest bit is making a decision. When I've done the blocks I "play" with them on the wall for days until I'm happy with the result.
Go on - have a go...
