Not at all - so long as you follow the instructions in the book. For instance the author strongly recommends only cut one triangle of those cubes at a time and place it on the board, before cutting the next. It's not a fast design to make, but fascinating.

I will ditch the cubes so they pop and just simple fmq in a 60 wt black over the b/w print and black areas. Then bind it in black.
