    OK, a dumb question, what do you mean you floated the top?

    The curtains turned bedspread came out very nice. You did a great job.

    I did the same thing few yrs ago for my nephew . Made camper curtains from drapes bought at Walmart Loads of fabric left
    so the next yr for christmas I did a quilt with the leftovers used a sheet for backing because machine quilted.
    Fabric originally chosen because of school colors FSU --
    gold and burgundy. Fabric type not the best choice but it
    worked for them and looks great on bed. That's before I had
    digital camera.
    This fabric/color is in the same family.

    Great job! I would not have thought about using curtains, either. I may have to try this after I retire and can send time on it.
