    I don't do this type of thing.. I hate zippers and snaps.. so i used the metal tape measure to make this coin purse open up.. I put in coins.. shook it up.. and wah lah !!! the coins stayed in !! I hope the customer likes it.. It's as good as it gets for me...lol

    i used a real metal tape measure and cut it to the lengths that i needed..

    That is such a cutie of a coin purse, when you say tape measurer do you mean a real tape measurer?

    Did you have to use a magnet to keep it closed enough to not spill the change? I must try this... sounds so interesting.

    no magnet.. you use a reg. metal tape measure.. the ones that carpenters use... when you pinch it open ,,it opens/closes upon releasing it

    Now everyone's husband is going to have to hide his carpenter's tape measure...

    buy them at the dollar store.. cheap cheap cheap.. i used two pieces on each side to make it really snap back... this depends on your tape measure of course...
    the first one i did ,,did not have enough snap so i had to d another one...

    My pattern calls for a 1 inch tape measure. I got mine at good old "Harbor Freight" for 1.69. 25 ft long. You can make a few bags with that one.
