Cordelia, heres how to open it without pps. Go to my Download box and press as normal, then instead of opening it, save it. It will open up a boc in your Documents. The press open and you should be able to view it.

I tried to save it as you described, but it still didn't work for me....then I thought to see if there was a free power point viewer available & VOILA!
At least, if you have a PC, I found a free one, I don't know about for MACs.
