I love your colors using these 2 colors, I too love these colors together. I am still hand quilting a king size quilt in a floral burgandy & green. It will be done before the end of summer, as I need to get another on the frame. Thanks for showing us the 2 quilts and telling the size of blocks also. It helps for us who aren't that experienced yet, or daring.

There is more information about the D4P on a separate post entitled D4P with Sashing...... if anyone is interested in more specifics and more pictures of that one. Flowers in the Stars was posted with specific information about that one maybe two months ago or so. Thank you for the comments. The look is so totally different in person and it is just amazing to me. Went to a quilt show yesterday and now have new inspiration!!

I too used the same fabrics and made 2 different quilt patterns, something I'd always wanted to do. I made twin quilts and have them on the single beds in my guest room...2 different style twin iron beds...they look fabulous and if I could figure out how to post a picture on her I'd post them.

Both are lovely. Many thanks for posting them together like this. It's wonderful to actually get to compare like fabrics used differently. Great idea.

That is a nice use of purples as it gives a vintage feels to the quilts. I think one has to be careful w/ purples and pinks but these patterns make your quilts. Good choice.

Where could I find the Flowers in the Stars pattern? I googled it and couldn't find it.
    Thanks,
    Kathy

I've always wanted to try the same thing. Two patterns with the same fabrics. The difference is astounding, isn't it? If I weren't in the middle of at least 8 UFO projects at the moment I'd plunge ahead, but alas, I have to clean my plate first.

As I looked at these side-by-side I thought to myself which one do I prefer? Couldn't decide I think they are both beautiful and the comparison of same fabric different design/pattern is remarkable. Thanks for visually showing what is accomplished with the same fabric.
