Default D4P--Flowers in the Stars--Same Fabric--Two quilts for comparison

I have been fascinated by how different the same fabric looks in different patterns. When I had material left from the Flowers in the Stars quilt, (80 6.5 charm squares to be exact), I decided to use up the leftovers and make a simple, quick quilt. Didn't turn out to be that quick, but it is done. So I hoped that you might enjoy seeing these two quilts side by side and seeing how different they look. There was no sage/apple green or shadowplay in the flower quilt. I had to use some different scraps to have enough for the D4{ but basically the same line. I really, really like this color combination and the fabric is wonderful, but I am ready for a different color combination for a while.

Both are beautiful. So many ways to switch the D4P around. Different colors can make the same pattern look so different.

Both lovely, but I really like the D4P. Thanks for sharing the two photos to show how different patterns make such different quilts!
