    Default Dabbling in my WIP's

I have several project I want to get done in the next few weeks so I dabbled in working on them (and cleaning my sewing room this weekend) while I think about how I am going to quilt my SAS quilt.

The first is a one block wonder. Block one has little to be desired but I wasn't fond of the chosen fabric to begin with but my sister is going to love it. I have most of it cut out.

The next is one of 24 different oriental lantern blocks. I am going to like this one. This one is also for my sister. This is her lucky year, she will be getting three quilts. The first one which I have Officially called NEVER AGAIN has been about ten years in the making. I hate working on it!!!! It is made out of home decor weight fabrics. It's very heavy and been a pain it the butt. But it is next on my agenda. I just want to get it done. The one block wonder and lantern quilts are "please forgive me for taking so long on the first one" quilts. lol.

The third is a big block (20" finished). I don't know the name of the pattern but have seen the it online a few times. I modified it to have some pinwheels in it. It's going to a guy and his wife who made some custom long arm quilting rulers for me. It was a work done in trade. I probably would have finished this top this weekend had I not ran out of black fabric by a 1/2 yard. 😏 So after a trip to the store and a few more cuts it will be ready to piece together.

The last thing I have been playing with this weekend is the Mickey Mouse ten minute block. They are also big blocks (19" finished). There will be 9 in the quilt with one outside border. This quilt is now a 1/3 done.

Im getting closer to knocking down my list and I have a partial idea of how I am going to quilt the SAS so that's where I will begin tomorrow after work.

Lovely work. I have drawn the chinese lantern to do as a block of the month for someone at my quilting group.
