    Default Damask-inspired

I had the idea that I wanted to make a quilt top inspired by a single damask motif, with bilateral symmetry and only a couple colors, using curved log cabin blocks. It didn't come out in practice the way it seemed in my head, but I may play with this motif more in the future. Currently this is folded up while I wait for quilting inspirations, I'm not quite happy with it but will probably do more to work out the ideas in the future.

Interesting concept. It is interesting and definitely has symmetry. I think you lose a little of the damask look b/c of the wide difference in prints and colors. It may work better if the "prints" were more tone on tone, and if they had more of a subtle difference between the colors.
