Default darth vader completed

Fellow quilter Lyndaj posted a pic of a Darth Vader quilt around Xmas time that she was making for a family member. She gladly let me know where i could purchase the kit. My son Troy will be getting married next month to a wonderful woman who has two sons. The oldest boy,Austin, will be having a birthday on may 19th and is a avid Darth Vader fan. However, he is 6'7" tall and the original quilt size would barely come to his knees. I had bought Star Wars The Force Awakens fabric to make the backing so bought a couple extra yards and added another border 8" wide all around the quilt for finished size of 57 x 73". I did outline quilting of Darth Vader's head with a diamond grid in background. the words "may the Force" is quilted into top red border and "be with you" on the bottom one. Sith light sabers are quilted into the four patches in corners. rest of quilt is done in a meandering star pattern. His mom has seen a pic of finished quilt and tells me that Austin is going to flip when he sees it--just the reaction we like our lucky recipients to have.
