    Talking Daughter's first quilt!

This is my 9 year old daughter's first quilt. In fact, it is her first sewing project! I'm pretty impressed with her sewing abilities. She will get better with seam allowances, but for a first project she did a wonderful job. I put the binding on because there wasn't much room for mistakes on that part, but she did the rest. I've glued down the binding for her to hand sew, which might take a long time, but she'll complete it. She picked out all the colors and chose the pattern. This was a great simple first pattern to make.

I had her zig zag around the squares rather than stitch in the ditch because with the cheap fat quarter material from Joann's and her sometimes short seam allowances, I wanted to be sure the quilt didn't unravel.

She did a great job on her first quilt. Good to start them early.
