This quilt was made with Civil War fabrics. I live in the low country of South Carolina and they have not lost the war yet.
Naturaly, here we learned in school that the South was defeated. General Lee surrendered to General Grant. There are lots of pictures to prove it. any how, the quilt took me two years to finish it. The original pattern was from PEOPLE PLACES AND QUILTS in Summerville and Charleston, South Carolina(The low country). It was this quilt that provied to me that I cannot make bed size quilts.
I started this when my Son-in-Law was sent to Korea for a year , and returned and is stationed in Fort Hood,Texas.
