Default David's "Hepto-copter" Quilt is finished!

My 4 year old grandson picked out the fabric for his new toddler bed quilt and matching pillowcase My daughter wanted 100% organic cotton fabric so I emailed her some choices and David picked the airplanes and "hepto-copters"! I didn't use a pattern for this one. I made 9" blocks because I wanted to show off the fun prints. The fabric is from Robert Kaufman's "Ready Set Go" collection. I sashed the blocks in 2 1/2" strips of solid orange organic cotton, also from Robert Kaufman. Orange is David's favorite color. I used size 8 Perle cotton to hand quilt it in co-ordinating colors. It made such a fun pattern on the backside. I can't wait to see his little face when he sees his new quilt tomorrow at his birthday party!

You're right, that is a fun pattern on the back side! Love how you showcased those helicopters!

How adorable! Never thought to stitch like you did with perle cotton for the kids. Love your label
