I love your quilt. I have the book but have not made the quilt yet. I plan to do a black, red and white also. Eleanor Burns Books are so easy.

In spite of all the challenges you expressed it came out beautiful.

Beautiful quilt. It is a great balance with the colors.

Looks great! The pattern looks hard, but is really easy. I am in the process of making one now, so I know what you mean about not getting 8 across. I actually pieced some of mine so that I did get 8 total out of the two strips. I don't think I'll be doing the bonus project, so I used some of those pieces to help add up to the 8 pieces for each strip set.

For those who haven't done this, I'm sure the above sounds confusing! But in true Eleanor Burns fashion, it is an easy block to make.

I recently bought the book when it was on sale at Joann's. Bought black, white and dark red, to make a quilt for my nephew who is a Miami Heat fan. The material is cut, just getting ready to piece it. I will check carefully that I get 8 triangles out of each strip. Thanks for posting your picture.

Sometimes quilting is like labor pains...gotta go through it but at the end it is all worth it. This is absolutely gorgeous.
