Day & night with a touch of sunshine

Well, I took all the advice I had gotten on my previous post about which borders to use, and came up with this combination. Lots said to NOT use yellow, since it wasn't in the quilt, but I needed to stop the blocks from fading into the borders, so I have a 1 inch border of yellow. Then, instead of the white, which I realized was too stark, I used the light lavendar, and the dark floral to finish off the borders, which was suggested by many. Just have to bat, quilt and bind it, and another Christmas quilt done, and only 2 left to go. I started this year trying to get 6 done, and I think I am going to make it.
My granddaughter was here last week, and when I showed this quilt to her, she said, "Oh, that is a Janel quilt" I asked her why, and she said it is because Janel, my daughter, to whom this quilt is going, is a Vikings fan. Yes, I know, but I don't really follow football, but she always has. So, without really having a reason that I chose these colors for Janel, it worked out just so perfect.
The quilt measures out at 60x72
This pattern by Eleanor Burns is really easier to do than it looks. I would not hesitate to do it again. Just for those that wonder how hard it was.
