This is just fabulous. Please don't get discouraged because it will take lots of time and patience. But when you do finish it, you will feel it was so worth it. I am doing a GFG one and I am only a sixth done if that. I may be done in 10 years. Hang in there. Keep posting pics so we can keep encouraging you. I had never seen this pattern before but it is simply spectacular.

It's going great so far! It may take a while, but be encouraged and know it will have been worth it all! The royal blue in it is really helping to establish the colors in it. It brings out the best of the other colors so go for it!

Beautiful, you are doing a wonderful job. Hand sewing, other than bindings or applique are not for me. Just keep going and soon it will be the size you want. I can't wait to see it finished.

What an ambitious project to undertake
Give yourself and At a Girl and move on.
Slow and steady will make it.
By the way this is going to be one lovely couch quilt.

It's a lovely pattern! I know how long it takes to hand sew hexes so I hope you're faster than I am!

my paper piecing project is also underway. I was going to make a Shasha's Garden quilt many years ago as my neighbor had the pattern and so the 3 of us starting cutting out our fabrics (hexigons) out of all florals. Well life got in the way of me finishing as with a very sick husband, I just sat it aside. When the other 2 ladies finished I was the recipient of a ton of floral hexicons so I am now sewing them all together to make my own floral garden quilt. It is a challenge but I love to paper piece. When it is finished, I will show it here.

I am going to call you WONDER WOMAN! I'm working on a hand pieced hexie right now and I have been cussing myself for starting this project. ( I like it and I'm using scraps but it's going to take years to finish). BUT you the WONDER WOMAN, are hand piecing stars and hexies and you are connecting all those "Y" seams! Your quilt will be AMAZING! By the way, my birthday is April 1. Do,you think you will have it done by then? Lol
