Dear Jane, What was I thinking?

"Begun is half done." What you've done is great. I've gotten as far as collecting fabric and buying the book and I'm thinking about a trip to Vermont to see the quilt. Just imagine the conditions under which Jane Stickle created that masterpiece for your inspiration.

If you decide not to continue, you could use these very fine blocks in several ways. First, you could make a "modern" quilt, artfully placing these blocks on point with long strips of color. Alternatively, you could arrange them in a long strip with several smaller and wider strips for the back of a quilt which might use several of the distinctive colors in these blocks. The other choices already offered, table runner and wall block, are equally good.
