    If the niece and nephew live together, I'd make another rag quilt for her. I think kids particularly like the softness of ragging. Your quilt is just gorgeous.

    Default Update to decision thread

    Here is the finished quilt for my 4 year Godchild/ niece. I had intended to do a rag quilt; however, after experimenting the rag technique with one block, the printed green as well as the flower fabric did not rag well - if anything the material frayed too much. Despite the fabric being 100% cotton, the weave was definitely different than the quilting fabric I am use to- i thought i could use it- lesson learned about weaves
    i then thought I would try my hand at yoyos and disperse them in the solid yellow blocks. I did not like how they turned out...so keeping it simple...sometimes simple is a good thing.

    I vote rag quilt for her too, they are so soft and your effort paid off on the first one, it's adorable.
