Default Deck The Hall BOM Quilt

I started on this Sat. night, ( the embroidery part) my daughter traced it for me, took her about 6 1/2 hours to due so and the coloring took about eight hours. Well wasn't sure if I want to embroider it or not as I didn't like the colors, well I went ahead and started it and now I love it, the floss really pops it out. I have a long way to go, just started the top of the tree. This patterns sure takes me back to my child hood days.

I just love this with the embroidery. Where did you get the pattern?

Your embroidery certainly does make it pop! You do beautiful work. Is this a Crab Apple Hill pattern? I just bought one in the shape of a Christmas Wreath -- figure it will take lots of hours but haven't started it yet. In fact I was just straightening my sewing room and saw the pattern on top of the sewing cabinet. What did your daughter use to trace the design? I'm thinking about using a Frixon pen or a mechanical pencil (with a light touch)

Thanks so much, yes it's Crabapple Hill. You must be talking about shinny & bright? I have that one traced, buy nothing else done as yet, seen this one and just had to start it. My daughter uses a micron pen very fine one. Frixon pens are nice but the print does disappear, I had this happen on one of my pieces so switched to the micron pens.

Every time you show one of your beautiful creations, I want to stop all my current projects and grab some crayons. Thank you for sharing with us.
