Default Defferent background for Pineapple quilt

Not trying to steal the Drunk Pineapple post, just wanting to show how differnt quilts can be when using something besides the usual background fabric. Buckeye Quilter and I have made the same quilt pattern, her's with a white background and mine with a deep red. I think she gave her's to a neice, and mine has been folded up in the quilt cabinet since I made it three years ago....that in its self is a shame!

Love your color selection. Now that it is out of the quilt cabinet, what are you going to do with it LOL Hopefully it doesn't go back and you use it, gift it or sell it. Someone should get the joy from having this beauty.

I like dark backgrounds, so this quilt is terrific IMHO. Do not put it back in the cabinet HaHa!

It amazes me how a change in color can completely change the look of a quilt. Lovely

It looks very pretty with a red background! I am trying to break out of the white background way of thinking. I just did a baby quilt with a charm pack and navy sashing. Next up will be a full sized quilt with another navy background. I might get real adventurous and use {gasp} a gray background.

I would never have thought to used the red with the yellows, but I love, love, love how it turned out! It compliments the yellow and green perfectly. Great job.

The background is perfect for your yellows. These two colors together are so complimentary to each other. Beautiful work!
