    what can I say except yes to all of the above. I would dearly love to own one of those for myself. You should market these dear lady and I bet you could make a bundle. Awesome job and thanks for treating us to your spectacular work of art. Truly amazing.

    WOW!! Deb, that is spectacularly beautiful. I am in awe of your talent. So I am trying to wrap my head around how you do this.

    do you basically draw your pattern pieces out on the fabric as it comes off the bolt, then slap that on the rack and quilt

    Or do you quilt a wholecloth quilt then carefully place your jacket pattern pieces on the quilted fabric in such a way that the quilted elements show up the way they do, like the bit of feathered star going across the back shoulders and tops of sleeves?

    I would love to see a step by step pictorial of the process. I remember several years ago Green Fairy quilted a huge piece like a wholecloth for the owner of Superior Threads who then turned that into a jacket. She posted pictures of it way back then.
