Default Dereck Lockwood's Celestial Garden in Oranges Finished

I posted this as a flimsy under Bold, Bright, and Busy. It has now been hand quilted and bound--so ta da, I present the finished quilt laying on the floor.

Shows the paper piecing and part of the center star.
This shows the lily in the setting triangle and part of the lovely hand quilting that was done. She quilted this whole thing in under three weeks.

This shows the corner of the whole center and more of the lovely feathers that were quilted by the Amish lady. I really like Shadow Play. It shows such depth of color without having too much contrast, lights and mediums and darks which is what I used for the backgrounds of the paper pieced blocks and the border..

She used curving leaf-like quilting around the angular flowers.

The design wall is full of quilt projects that have a time frame so can't be taken down now so this is the best photo I could get of the whole quilt. I hope you are all looking forward to a wonderful fall weekend and happy quilting!

Not sure why this moved the attachments above the pictures and the accompanying narratives were moved as well. I will hit post again and see what happens this time.

Sorry this is so messed up. It hasn't happened to me before so don't know how to fix this. Anyway, I hope you like my first lonestar with paper-piecing attempt.
