    Default Desert Sky, take 2

This is the second throw-sized quilt I've done with this pattern, only I learned a lot from the first one, so this one actually looks close to what the pattern shows! It is paper pieced, which I've been enjoying. I also had fun creating a unique border; each side is a single continuous line utilizing curves, pebbles and feathers. My first quilt, although it wasn't as precise as this one was, was done in warmer colors (yellows and reds), and this one has a more earthy tone. My heart belongs to the first one, but I gave it to a family member. I am still proud of this effort, however, and I hope you enjoy looking at it too!

Beautiful, I haven't tried paper piecing yet. This is so lovely it encourages me to give it a try this year.
