I just added the latest library and had to re-read the original instructions to remember where they are downloaded to... I got to tell you, I Highlighted these instructions with my left mouse button, pressed the Ctrl key and C, to copy all of it. Then I pasted it into a Word, Notepad, or Wordpad document, (Ctrl V), then I printed it out!! It sure made it easier than trying to stay on the EQ page and set up the folder for these libraries.

Remember, do not open these files. Windows doesn't know how to open them.
Once you download them ,you have to link them. Which version do you have? 6 and 7 is done the same way, but 5 is different.
Heres from the site how:
Link to the folder full of files:
5.If you have EQ5, you need to link the folder. (see picture)
Do the following steps (you only need to do this once):
◦Click FILE > Preferences > Directories tab.
◦Click Add, type in Monthly Libraries and set it to Fabrics (not blocks). Click OK.
◦Select Monthly Libraries in the list.
◦Click Modify and BROWSE to My Documents. Select the Monthly Libraries folder. Click OK.
◦Click OK.
If you have EQ6 or EQ7, you need to link the folder. (see picture)
Do the following steps (you only need to do this once):
◦Click LIBRARIES > Fabric Library > Link Library button.
◦Click Add, type in Monthly Libraries and click Browse.
◦Select the My Documents > Monthly Libraries folder.
◦Click OK, then click Close.
If you get an error message "Not a valid directory!", then you are linking to an empty folder! Don't skip step 3 this time!

If this doesn't help, post your exact steps, and we'll try to figure it out.

I recently got EQ 7 for my birthday. I've had EQ 6 for awhile, and I used it, but didn't even begin to do all that it's capable of. So now I'm going through the instruction books paragraph by paragraph and following all the steps. Yes, it takes a lot of time, but if I can ever get it drilled into my thick skull, I think I may use the program to design actual quilts a lot more often. It's an amazing program, and it makes it so easy to try different options without making a committment!
