I agree with the Amish reference & I also kind of get a Pennsylvania Dutch vibe from it. Whatever the genre, it's beautiful! You should be super proud of yourself... a stunning quilt & done years before it needs to be! WTG, girl! I wish I were a tenth that organized!

Thank you all. I am planning to ship it to her after I show it in October. The parents just got a new home so I am guessing they will have more room for it than I would. I will get a picture of it before I send it.
I have quilted a large number of king and queen sized quilts on my home machine (I am too disabled to use my guild's LA.) but at this point, I think I would be disappointed with my quilting on one this size. My son's kids are all appreciative of the quilts they get, so I know this will have a good home.

How beautiful and bright ....gorgeous as it is....it's going to be even more stunning when quilted. Lucky, lucky girl. Great forward planning on your part....I must change my ways, always leave things 'til the last minute
