That is a WONDERFUL gift you made. It has a lot of 'you' in it and I'm sure it will be treasured. How old is your DGS?

When my kids were small I opened cans on the bottom and taped boxes closed so they could use them in their grocery store, but it couldn't hold a candle to this one!
    Dear Joya

those are three dark brown baskets holding the bread and pastry and they are not on the floor, they are attached to the sidebar.
DGS will turn 4 in January and has a little brother of 1.5y. They are the sons of our youngest DD and oldest DD is expecting a future store owner in April. DS is not having any children yet, but I got hopes high that he and his girlfriend will have many of them soon...........
And of course there is fabric in the shop  , even notions in the little drawers.

    Three more nights to sleep........

That is stunning - what a loving present. My 7 yo was so impressed, he wants to come over and play too. I would have to come with him . . . but you will need one of these

 As he was playing so far that he put the imaginary items under the imaginary scanner before handing them out - never forgetting to make the proper noise of the scanner with his thongue - I am afraid he would not be happy with an antique one
In fact I am off for the city to find one with a scanner.

That will definitely be the "best present ever"!!
Seriously, the little one will remember this as one of his best Chrsitmas memories as he grows up!
Thank you for taking the time to show us the steps you went through to make this possible. You put a lot of time & love into this gift and it shows! Merry Christmas!
