When our house was built, we had a combo living/dining room..it was horrible to try to eat a family meal because the tv was on so nobody could talk cause hubby was watching something.. I wanted the back screen in to be converted to a dining room..he refused to budge on it..so I put the house on the market to sell and buy a house with a dining room..he loved our house so he asked me what he could do to get me to keep the house..I said I want a dining room..the back screen in is now a dining room and the house was taken off the market..been married 33 years since I was 16 years old.

This thread reminds me of my MIL, while she didn't build anything she moved stuff all the time. My DH said once he came home very late at night and went to fall into his bed and it wasn't there, his mother had changed the rooms around while he was out. May in Jersey

Your sewing room was already larger than mine but I would have to build on or take some of the bathroom to get it any larger. If that is not a load bearing wall you will have a wonderful sewing room.

You are awesome! A "Just do it" attitude" My step mother was like that. She always had a hammer in her hand. Enjoy that extra storage space!
