    Can you do what I just saw at a seminar -- Instead of Y seams -- make 2 pieces and seam down the middle -- I'll admit I wouldn't do that -- but the beginner quilters there thought that was wonderful

    There is a very similar pattern in the latest edition of Mark Lipinski's Fabric Trends and I can't wait to start it! Now.....will it be scraps from the stash or a trip to the LQS for batiks or 30's repros?????

    I don't think I could bring myself to cut one of my diamonds down the middle....even to avoid doing a y seam. LOL I'll slowly muddle through the seams.....I can do them, I just don't like to. :)
